I love baking!

Picture of our favourite cheesecake recipe — I always try to bake one and bring it whenever we visited a couple friends of ours for dinner :) Strawberries was prepared by them :3

For some reason I crave something sweet (but not too sweet, I reduced the sugar amount for the original recipe) also seperated the basic doughapproximately in half, added a cube of bittersweet chocolate (coarsely chopped up) and 1/8 cup of poppy seeds to the other half :P

Biscult recipe:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspn baking powder

1/2 teaspn salt

2 large eggs

a little less than 1/2 cup sugarĀ

2/3 cup vegetable oil

2 teaspn vanilla extract

1 teaspn grated lemon zest

1/8 cup poppy seeds, 1 cube of chocolate coarsely chopped

Instructions:

1. Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a medium bowl

2. Whisk eggs in a large bowl until blended. Add sugar, oil, vanilla extract and lemon zest and mix well. Stir the dry ingredients into wet mixture until blended.

3. Roughly seperate the dough in half, mix in poppy seed for one half, and chocolate to the other.

4. Preheat oven to 375 degree farenheit.

5. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonsfuls onto parchment paper on a large baking sheet. I use a spatula to get a roundish flat shape and position them around 1 inch a part.

6. Bake until golden brown around the edges, around 10-12 mins depending on your oven, remove from parchment paper and cool on wire rack, do allow the chocolate chip biscults to cool completely before eating!
