Random item post :)

Pan fried tofu last nite :3 Thankfully turned out alright ^^

First, soak silken tofu (a pack of 2) in a large bowl of cold water with a teaspoon of salt. Take note: this step help keep the tofu from breaking too easily from handling.

While the tofu is soaking, go do other food preperation — cook rice, cut up and marinate meat etc.  After about 20 mins or so, carefully cut tofu to about 10 squares per tofu.

Arrange the pieces carefully on couple pieces of paper towel on a flat surface and place a couple pieces of paper towels over the top to sponge off excess water. Coat with flour and pepper just before pan frying each side non stick pan over medium heat with a drizzle of oil :3

I cooked some diced pork chop (marinated about 20 mins with a tablespoon of seafood sauce, mirin wine, pepper, 1 table spoon of corn starch and minced garlic) with corn, add some water near the end simmer until the sauce thickens and pour over the pan fried tofu…

Almost forgot, I sprinkled a bit of chopped spring onion on the tofu after it was fried :3 It got covered by the meat sauce :P

Verdict:
Will definitely cook this combination again in future!

Random sighting:
Heart shaped leaves :)
