Couch and about
Now our living room feels a bit more like a living room ^O^
It’s funny how we went back to Ikea after looking around and thinking about it :)
This couch design is one of which I fell in love with when it first came out XD I was making reasons for us not to get this one — nitpicking on the thick armchair and chunky back piece, but I guess Wai kinda fell for this colour/material for the price it should be fine for a while :D
And to think we moved it home by ourselves! *flex puny muscles* ^^;;;
There was a small episode where I almost passed out cos I had no strength and not enough clearance to push the couch in the right direction and basically the couch was pressing on my ribcage until I felt dizzy LOL Had to take a small breather before continuing to move the couch thru the doorway upstairs. But thankfully figured out a way around that and we got the couch settled in now! XD
So how in the world did we bring it home by ourselves?
We have the best car in the world (LOL) mind you, it’s a very common car here :P
When we moved it nearer to our car, I was thinking will it really fit? (LOL)

Dutch Baby Pancake
Got this recipe from a friend’s flickr :D after seeing another friend’s attempt lol
Very quick and easy indeed!
Think I’m gonna try adding grated cheese to make it savoury if I ever make it next time ^^;
Batter whisked up in 10 mins

Almost done! I smelt a slight burning so I took it out about 3 mins before the sugguested 25 mins
After it’s out of the oven it quickly deflates
Not the prettiest but looks interesting!
Cut a couple slices, one for U one for me, sprinkled some lemon juice and icing sugar… ready for consumption :P
Will definitely go well with regular pancake toppings :)

Recording of busy - food abuse part 2
So what do you do when you have a large group of people hanging out?
You go eat :P
Before that, we got some salad from my sis in law (good measure) check out the adorable salad tosser on the side of the bowl :D

Very yummy food here! But you probably won’t be able to do the all you can eat feat with only 2 people :P

I must say this place is probably one of my personal favourite japanese restaurant of all I have been :)
I’m usually not a big raw fish/beef eater (and many times I have to run to the toilet after a little while :P) but the sashimi at this restaurant is probably really fresh cos I was fine later on after eating some raw fish (not a lot even).

On thursday, puppy52.com was up for about a day or so, and I took a picture of Haruhi chan in front of my lap top before I left for work at friend’s shop :)
She warns you that there are food pix ahead…
We had a late night dinner at Ginger and Garlic, these 2 are pretty yummy :P
So Hub’s sis arrived from out of town on friday night and we ended up going out for some pub food (I don’t drink lol) she was staying with us for a couple nights so before that we got busy with last minute cleaning and preparation (forgot to take pix of before and after doh)
But think air mattress :P
On with more food abuse pix :P
Saturday: It started out a beautiful day, we had breakfast near Aberdeen center and I took a picture of the beautiful sky.
Coffee at Artigiano in North Van, I did not eat the sandwich cos we had breakfast earlier on and it was still sitting in the stomach ^^; Sandwich is served hot tho ;)
Went into Whole foods after some window shopping and got a tooth rot from looking at all the desserts… Yes you didn’t read me wrong, just looking, didn’t have a chance to try them :P
I’ll take that, and that and all of that please…
We did however got to try some organic strawberries… Verdict? HEAVENLY, juicy and sweet :O!!! Hope to buy some next time we go ^^ (we were gonna be out all day so couldn’t just keep it in the car ^^;)

Unfortunately it started to cloud up by then, otherwise it would be nice to sit on some picnic mat and enjoy the view
was hungry by then, so shared a Bullen’s burger with husband :) at Arms Beach Bistro :D It was fantastic! the bun they used have a crispy surface, patty was just right fries and salad was great ^^

Wings(and drumlets) at The Thirsty Duck Pub :P the rest of the gang had some beer ^^

I am now 31 years old
Horrors of horrors time sure flies :P yesterday was my birthday, kept it pretty low key.
What was priceless was that the weather was glorious ^^!
There were a few lovely surprises even the week before (came in the form of mail loot) ^^

Our cat gave us some poopoo in our living room yesterday LOL how considerate :P
Before lunch time, Brother in law and wife came by with a pair of cute shoes, lunch and dessert *YUM* So thoughtful of them :D After that went to do some furniture hunting (mostly window shopping tho).

Went to a few places for food later, Brioche for a late lunch, Artigiano and Metro for dinner ^^ all Yum :3 but in the end we’re too full for dessert LOL! So no cake :P
Today made up the lack of cake with cake overdose LOL (no pix tho maybe later) Also finally bought a nenodroid ^^;;;

Managed to meet with Emmi for a bit today, she’s leaving vancouver in a week (wah!) Darn that I did not ask her out any sooner (Duh-oh!)
On my way to meet her, I finally took a picture of this cone which is trapped on the ground for a while now :P (think sometime last year even) tsktsk
On the bus on way back home saw this :P so funny! Managed to take a quick snapshot XD
