Summer weekends = busy!

Not 100% planned, but we got to hang out with bro-in law and his wife (and her brother lol) this saturday’s weather was kinda muggy and cloudy but thankfully the temperature was alright :)

No this is not my husband’s car, no worries lol Would be a good work out if it’s really our car tho… (yaba daba dooooooo~)

As always have to fool around (got presented this paper tomahawk hat by my dear sis in law) after we had a late lunch lol. I actually enjoyed wearing it cos it kept the wind from my head :P

I was kinda tired as friday was a super long day for me (went to work at my friend’s shop on friday instead of the usual thursday)

Nice thing about friday was I met another new dollyfriend :) She made my evening when she came by with her pretty dollies for a brief meeting XD

This is one of her beautiful licca doll I am in love with!

Summer report...

Was quite sick on the weekend, felt like a bout of food poisoning x_x or maybe stomach flu? x_x slowly getting better, very slowly ^^;;;;

On a nice note, we collected our new chairs ^^ I got one as my work chair ^^

What do you feel like on a hot summer afternoon?

Milk shaved ice with fruits!
Where to get? Frappe Bliss at Aberdeen center’s food court on the 3rd floor ;)

Description:

Center= Canned lychee
Black stuff on top left clock-wise direction = Glass jelly, kiwi, strawberry slices, Mango bits (a bit tart) drizzle of condensed milk on top :P

The milk shaved ice was heaven

I first tried it when a friend of mine ordered it, thinking it was a drink XP
it looked like this, and was light fluffy and milky, but eating it during cold weather gave us brain freeze so I think in the end we did not finish it ^^;;;;

Junk food summer randoms

Trees are full of leaves, not bare like in winter or pre-spring:

While taking a detour to get to the bus stop, I bumped into 2 ferocious beasts sun tanning. I want to take the smaller beast home but their owner is nearby lol!

I think one of my biggest evil, poison, weakness… has gotta be junk food ^^;  I try not to eat too much but I cannot deny the fact that I enjoy it :P

It’s a bit on the pricer side I think but it’s pretty big, they recently open a new stall at Aberdeen center’s food court ^^

Had a coupon for 15% off thanks to their grandopening (and me happen to be working at the shop ^^; ) me boss gave me his coupon too so… lol oh my…

I used the 2nd coupon today lol I feel like Ebichu (the house keeping hamster)

Week end buzz and nostalgic food craving

So while my laptop was down, I sewed a dress for my new doll :P

Kaya: a kinda sweet coconut/egg based spread which was available in Singapore, which I found at local Yaohan, had a craving for it :P It’s delish with some butter ^^;

I find Kaya spread great with toast, but it’s not for everyone — it’s quite sweet, but have some butter spread on the other piece of toast, U get a lovely Kaya sandwich ^^

One evening hubs ordered a Singaporean Laksa from this late night place we went to, it looks like this when served to us:

unfortunately not really authentic, lol

Kindersurprised

On Sunday afternoon, my husband got a small piece of poo (either bug or bird poo, we have no idea) on his camera lens just when he took the camera out of the bag. I was joshing that he may want to get a lottery ticket LOL.

So later that night when we went to get some milk at London Drugs after dinner, he saw that I was eyeing at the kindersurprise near the shelves by the cashier, so he casually picked one out. I was going to tell him to put it back then thought okay just one should be fine :P

There were a pictures of a few toys on the display shelves and there was one which I was totally eyeing at…

So earlier tonite after dinner, husband asked me where did I put the kindersurprise? So I brought it upstairs and we shared it, and after struggling a bit to open it I was very pleasantly surprised by the contents! Cos even before piecing it together, I knew what it was!

Tadah!

So who took posession of it?

When husband saw the accompanying instruction slip, he was like oh great, now he has to get the green one… (he’s joking of course)

Gave bunny a clover leaf, but it snubbed the leaf, so I tried a buttercup…

Accepted XD Flower was gone in a few seconds!

Couch during daytime :)

Come to think of it it’s our first couch of our very own :D I moved some stuff around to take a picture with just the couch ^^

Now our living room feels a bit more like a living room ^O^
It’s funny how we went back to Ikea after looking around and thinking about it :)
This couch design is one of which I fell in love with when it first came out XD I was making reasons for us not to get this one — nitpicking on the thick armchair and chunky back piece, but I guess Wai kinda fell for this colour/material for the price it should be fine for a while :D


And to think we moved it home by ourselves! *flex puny muscles* ^^;;;


There was a small episode where I almost passed out cos I had no strength and not enough clearance to push the couch in the right direction and basically the couch was pressing on my ribcage until I felt dizzy LOL Had to take a small breather before continuing to move the couch thru the doorway upstairs. But thankfully figured out a way around that and we got the couch settled in now! XD

So how in the world did we bring it home by ourselves?

We have the best car in the world (LOL) mind you, it’s a very common car here :P

When we moved it nearer to our car, I was thinking will it really fit? (LOL)
